A brief introduction to the world of golf

Golf is a great game of age, depending on how you look. Some, of course (no pun) that â € œGolf say that no more than a good walk spoiled € â € "Ugh! heresy I say.

Remember when golf was generally considered a summer sport? Now is the day. You used to get all excited coming in March / April when the U.S. Masters at Augusta has been distributed, it was not long before the Open Championship Wind Envoy of the sand and gorse somewhere in Scotland. After it was headed SU in the Open and U.S. PGA.

Before you knew the season was over and he was busy packing your clubs away and counting the days until the next start of the season.

No longer yet!

Now we have this rather strange situation in which the PGA European Tour, which means Professional Golfers Association to date have occurred in the Far East and elsewhere, so that golf is a sport of time now, no matter where in the world (outside the U.S. as much as the PGA European Tour is concerned) as long as the sun shines and the weather is good!

This latter fact is interesting in case that now is a golf being a sport truly global and universal (wasn € ™ t even Neil Armstrong famous filmed a way to play golf on the moon?) that can be played by almost everyone.

There are golf courses in nearly every U.S. community and throughout the world. Most every time after which bids are available for the previous book when making reservations, but by large, golf is a game you should and roadmap ahead. Most things in golf are feasible, but almost all of them are feasible if you plan ahead in time.

How golf got its start is a fascinating topic that all golfers want to know more about, and the game has a rich history, culture and traditions.

Scotland has long been believed to be where golf originated. Golf was played in what is now the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews (R & A) that led to legislation introduced by the former king, King Jacques in 1457. The soldiers spent time kings too long in the game and not enough on the practice of archery and therefore illegal gambling. Early accounts of the game there are also representations of Gloucester Cathedral in England dating from 1340.

The word "golf" is based on the Dutch word 'kolf "which refers to a bat, Smash or attach, and therefore in May to support the idea that golf began in the Netherlands. Apparently, there was a game where you put a ball in a hole in the ice, which was called "ice Kolf, which could be considered as the procedure for establishing the land-based game developed less seasonal. More recently, a German scholar found early representations game "kolven" which was a game to put a ball in a hole, supposedly to identify the origins of the sport in the Netherlands.

To the end of the day, none of this is important, what matters is the fact that more and more people in the game and only good for the sport.
