Ten good uses for pumpkins

When we think of pumpkins, we think the Halloween Jack-O-Lantern, pumpkin pie, and maybe Thanksgiving. But the truth is that there are many ways to use pumpkin!

In October, pumpkins abound. Sometimes they are too abundant. And it's not uncommon to see excess pumpkins side or that rot after Halloween, but really no need to leave the extras to spare. Here are some valuable uses of pumpkins:

1. Pumpkins Because food in recipes, pumpkins are low in calories but rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, protein and potassium. Quit your favorite cookbook and search recipes containing pumpkin. Pumpkin bread, cakes and biscuits are favorites, but you'll probably find many others. You can make pumpkin leather as American Indians, or simply resolved with a gourd bird house. As you can see, really pumpkins no need to go to waste, either before or after Halloween. In times of economic recession, it is not uncommon that people have more time on hands who have money.
