What is your biggest pet peeve?? Should I take this as a compliment or be annoyed?
I HATE when people copy me. It’s usually over stupid stuff too and one person inparticular. I have known her for 4 years and she has never had any interest in most of the things until I do them. She got highlights after I did, wants to exercise now because I started pilates, I hunt and she doesnt and I just got a new bow, now she all of a sudden wants to get her bow hunting license and a bow, she watches the same tv shows as me, talks the same way as me and everything. Should I take it as a compliment or is it normal that it bugs the heck out of me? FYI, Im 23 and she is my 41 year old mother in law!
another reason that I think it’s annoying is because all her kids joke that she is obsessed with my husband. She used to hate every girl he dated and so on. She also acts like a little puppet every time she’s around him trying to get his attention and make him laugh at her and notice her. It’s pretty freaky!! It’s almost like she wants to be like me to get more attention from him.
Just take it as a compliment. Maybe it is her way of becoming closer to you.She just wants to fit in and be a part of the family. It is sad really so try to make her feel comfortable.
