Things to attract deer?

I don’t hunt, but my boyfriend is an avid bow hunter. Since season opens Saturday, he’s kind of “in the zone” and that’s all he’s thinking about. lol! I love seeing him so excited about something. I thought it would be a cute idea to get him a gift for hunting season (since we’ve made a joke about how it should be a national holiday).

My question is this:

I heard there are specific soaps and stuff that some hunters use to mask their scent and/or attract deer. What are these called? Where can I find them? And what is the ingredient used that actually attracts the deer. We’re kind of an organic couple, and like to make our own things. I thought it would be really cool to learn to make these types of soaps and stuff for him myself.
13B: lol! I don’t WANT him to forget about the real deer. I love to see him so excited and passionate about something. The idea is to support him in something he loves, NOT to try making him stop.

just go to a hunting store and there are stuff called scent blocker scent blocker soap and so on plus uv killer and other products…. its just up 2 you to figure out what you want to buy and spend a great gift is telling him he could try taking a apple and using it to scrape on a tree to attract deer or put peanut butter on a tree
