How do i increase my poundageon my bow?
It’s a Bowtech Tomkat, with a max of 60 pounds but I want to go up to 65-70. How do I do that? Someone told me all I need is new limbs, is that true?
It’s a compound bow, and it’s already at the maximum of 60 pounds. It can’t be turned up any more. The reason I’m asking is because I’m going to need a new string soon and I would have new, tighter limbs put on while it’s tore apart.
yes it will need new limbs and cams. you might check local bow shops or the place you bought the bow to see if heavier draw weight limbs are available. you should have them do this for you, it cannot be safely done without a bowpress and the proper equipment and knowledge to change the limbs. if stronger limbs are not available for your bow, you may have to sell it and buy one within the draw weight range you are looking for good luck to you and happy shooting
