what do the numbers mean on carbon arrows?
can some one explain to me what the numbers on carbon arrows mean…i have some that say 500 7.3…or 7.7…made by easton…what do they represtent
The 7.5, 7.7,ect. is the grains per inch. The other number usually a 340, 400, 500 is the spine of the arrow which is a measure of the stiffness. If choosing Easton arrows go to there web site and they have a chart that will match up your draw length and draw weight to choose the properly spined arrow for you. Having to flimsy or to stiff of an arrow will affect your accuracy. Other arrow manufacturers have similiar charts as well. Hope this helps.
