8 years old problems are normal?

My son is 8 years old and I care about him, perhaps trying to compare me as a child too, but are only interested in video games. He will say he is interested in something like baseball, archery, dirtbikes, ect. Then I go and get what he needed to attend only one who has left because it works or not homered for a bubble in the first attempt. It makes me feel like I'm too pressure on him. When I try to help all he pays no attention to me and act like I preach to him if you remember to hold the bat a certain way or only basic things to help. It just gives, but it will be a game of 8 hours if I let it happen. He is very intelligent and does well in school but who cries a lot and has no motivation to practice things better. What I can do to help motivate him. That's the problem, I can not go to play ball if a foul is going to mourn and leave, no try again.
