bow hunting tracking

would you rather get shot with a gun and just die or get shot with a bow and bleed for hours?

my friend trying to make a big deal about hunting and im saying a gun is better cuz of long distance more power and more accuracy and that a deer does not run very far. and he is saying that a deer runs less distant or the same if shot with an arrow. you have to wait like 2 hours after u shoot a deer to track and find it if u use a bow and if u use a gun u can git outa the tree after u shoot.

Now tell me what you would rather use?
and clean shot maybe not 2 hours but you always have to wait a longer time by far

I’ve dispatched animals that have been poorly shot with arrows and bullets. It’s all about shot placement. If an animal receives a broad head or a .22LR through a ventricle, it will go down. Much depends on the actual angle and the animal in particular. I know for a fact that a large deer will be unconscious and on it’s way to meet its maker in the same amount of time whether it was shot by a bow or a rifle. But this comparison is made under ideal circumstances which do not always occur in the real world.

Though it has nothing to do with hunting, I would prefer the gun.

Added: What war are you talking about? Where I live was one of the very last places in the US to be settled by whites. At least until 1900 there were local “indian wars”. These people were not using bows and arrows though.
