bow hunting layouts
what kind of gun should I buy?
I need to buy a gun to kill deer with but I don’t know what brand, or caliber, or kind or anything that would fit and work with me the best. where should I go to get one, online, local newspaper adds, or at a big hunting place?
additional information:
–I’m 26 yrs old
–I weight 180pounds
–I am tall and skinny
–I don’t want a bow or muzzle loader. I’m just looking for any kind of modern gun that is legal for hunting deer
–I’m just gonna kill 1 white tail deer per year with it.
–I also might use it to kill rodents like opossum,squirrel, armadillo
–I can also buy a scope if I need one with the gun
–I cannot spend more than $1,000 all together
–I live in Arkansas
–where I hunt is a good layout of open field, tree coverage, and a pond
–I mainly use a tree stand
any name brand bolt action rifle chambered in 243 or else 25-06

That should be $700 with shipping and all that…leaving $300 for rings and bases, flip up scope caps, good gun case, cleaning kit, cleaning supplies, having the scope professionally mounted, etc etc. You’ll still probably have about $100 left over.

bow hunting gar
im going bow hunting in texas this season?
im looking for a bow that is great for knocking down whitetail, im a little short on money im not looking to spend over $250…im new to bows and stuff so i need the basics, and also this spring me and a couple Budd’s are taking a trip to oklahoma. we are going to the K river and going bow-fishing for gar… so i want a bow that can convert into both.. im not wanting to spend a lot of money when i can just buy one, thanks

Go to a few archery shops that take trade ins on new bows. This is the cheapest way to get a decent bow. Let them show you what they have and what you need to go bow fishing.You’re right about going cheap. There’s no need to spend a ton of money unless you are going to get into it big time. As you go along, you can always upgrade your equipment as needed. Good luck!
