Starting an outdoor hunting/fishing store?
I love to hunt and fish and so does my brother.We would like to start a hunting and fishing store. I think we should have everything from bait/lures, hunting gear, guns, bows, get certified to adjust bows for a certain length, have an indoor area so people can try out bows, and camping supplies, and much more. I live in Arkansas and live in a town of about 10000 people. I was just wondering how would it work out? Would Wal-Mart, Bass Pro, Cabelas hurt my store. There is a walmart but no others where I live. I live close to the interstate. The are really no other big stores like this but there is one about 45 min away.
I know we would have to become certified to sell guns and such. I GUESS MY QUESTION IS YOU OPINIONS??????????????
You could do well. You can never compete with the big stores as far as price goes. They can buy anything they re-sell for less than you can. But, there is always a niche market for smaller stores that provide the additional service, personal interaction and support that you may well be very good at.
You may well be able to market yourself and your store based on the ability of your customers to try out the product, get trained and knowledgeable help, and feel that while they may pay more, they get value received.

Is it legal or permited to take a hunting bow over the mexican border?
I bought a 55lb hunting bow in the usa and i wana take the bow to mexico is it ok or legal to take the bow over the border.
Contact your local Mexican Consulate….they seem to be changing rules down there on a wim…..I know if you are caught with a firearm…you’ll face time in prison.
